Harold Bowen, Wottle is Blooming
- Acrylic on Canvas
- 90 x 136 x 3cm
The Thelun-thirn are the coastal people, and the Waguurr-ga are the inland people. When the yellow wattle blooms, it is the Waguarr-ga people who head to the coast (where the Thelun-thirn people live), knowing that the Ngunth (yellow tail mullet) and the gaal ngaar (blue tail mullet) are running and are fat (they are in season). And the bundaay and lady apple fruits are in season too.
