Growing up in environments surrounded by various waterways, including both sea and freshwater bodies, I have represented my life and experiences through my artwork featuring the Ngawiya and other marine creatures. Ngawiya also served as an abundant source of sustenance, with hunting activities undertaken to provide food for my family and me. I vividly recall my father engaging in spear hunting to catch Ngawiya, fish, jellyfish, and crabs. I have a passion for painting and enjoy expressing my personal stories through my artwork. Sharing these stories with others holds great significance for me, as I learned this from my father. My children and grandchildren also follow in my footsteps, and I sometimes incorporate their stories into my work. I view myself as a role model, aiming to pass on the teachings imparted by my father.
