My painting is about the three warriors that went to the sea hunting for food just off Moa Island in the Banks Channel in the Torres Strait.
While they were out diving, a big storm came across the horizon and the sea became
very rough and choppy.
The men drowned and got lost at sea.
The Dhari’s represent the three men’s spirits that travel in the currents of the tide.
The red design in the painting represents the blood of the three warriors.
