Dorothy Edwards 'Bush Stone-Curlew'
Reduction Linocut print on 350gsm acid free paper, 2024.
39.5 x 28 cm
As a child growing up, my mother used to say that the Stone curlew was a messenger of something significant and of someone’s passing. A reminder that we were never truly alone and that there was always something greater watching over us. The Stone curlew is a symbol of hope and guidance, a messenger of wisdom and protection in times of uncertainty. And even now, whenever I hear its mysterious call, I can't help but feel a sense of connection to something beyond this world.
Exhibited in 'The Summer Show' exhibition @ UMI Arts Gallery, November 2024 - February 2025.
