The name of this place is Red Lily. It is my family's homeland, where lotus and lily flowers thrive. We gather these flowers during the dry season, which falls around July to September. We collect a large quantity of lotus and lily seeds, roots, and stems. To make dampa or bread, we crush the seeds. We also prepare dempa by rolling it in lily leaves, placing it in hot ashes, and covering it for 15 minutes until it is fully cooked. In the same swamp where we find the flowers, we also encounter long-necked turtles. We use these turtles for food, cooking them separately in different fireplaces.
