Aboriginal people created scar trees by carefully removing the bark for tools and everyday needs. Used for making shields, canoes, and containers, this practice left distinctive marks on the trees, telling stories of cultural traditions and survival. These living records remain as reminders of Aboriginal ingenuity, connection to Country, and sustainable resource use.
