Celebrated Kokoberrin artist Lisa Michl hails from the Central Western Cape York Peninsula in Queensland, Australia. Of the Kokoberrin language group, Lisa's mother's and grandmothers' homeland, known as Pinnarinch, sprawls from Staaten River National Park in the south to Nassau River in the north, encompassing Wyabba Creek and the Dorunda Lodge area.
