Me and my partner and sister and friends went to fish for barra or catfish. And I had a dragnet to drag for bait for the catfish. One of my friends said something really big is in the net. She was starting to feel scared, and then we saw there was a croc in the net! She got that much of a fright, she was sinking her fingernails into the sand to get up that riverbank quick. We were all laughing at her. We said “We’re not going dragging with you ever again!” When the tide comes right up, the saltwater crocs come right up with it. Theres a big causeway there and a bridge, with freshwater on one side on and brackish on the other side. Sometimes you see big crocs in there during the wet season or when its flooded. When the tide comes right up, the saltwater crocs come right up with it…. but that day it was only a little freshy in our net.
