Shenane Jago (Turtle Shells)

To make my turtle shells as life-like as possible, I collect empty turtle shells from around the swampy areas around Normanton. They are just laying around. I clean them up and use them as moulds for my clay work. I dry the top shell, put them into a kiln and glaze them different colours. To do the body I draw it on paper and cut it out together with the top shell to make the empty turtle shell.
