In the Waterhole, 2025
Acrylic on canvas
79 x 50 x 3.5cm
‘In the Waterhole’ is a painting from scenes from my Dad’s country “Ti-Tree”, which is located in the Western Cape York.
It has swamp turtles, which is our traditional food, and we eat them during the June/July holidays and with johnny cakes cooked in the ashes, by our mum.
The lily flowers are red, yellow, orange and purple, which flowers during the ‘wet season’.
