The landscape is optical colour mixing, where the eyes mix the colours of the surrounding environment to perceive colours like blue, red, and yellow.
The colours in the painting are not primary colours, such as blue, red, or yellow. Second and tertiary colours are used for the eye to recognise blues, reds and yellows that one perceives in the built-in or natural environment.
