Winners of "band of the year" at the 2007 deadly awards, the Black Image Band are a 6 piece indigenous group from Wujal Wujal, hope vale and Cooktown in Queensland Australia. The songs on this, their debut album tell stories of deep emotional attachment to family, land, and community and are invitations to hear the voice of black image as a pure expression of contemporary indigenous people on Cape York peninsula. Features special guest "uncle" Seaman Dan on one track.
