Pormpuraaw is blessed with many strong cultural people. Preserving some of their knowledge and sharing it with others is very important for future generations. If culture and language is to be preserved than cultural resources needed to be developed.
Our two book publications “Pormpuraaw, Stories, Art, Language” and “Pormpuraaw Cultural Uses For Plants” are paramount achievements for us. They are an incredible insight into our culture. They were made so our elders could sit with their grandchildren and teach them about who they are. We feel this is the most important work we do. It is a lasting legacy for future generations and will inspire many works of art.
