I have vivid memories of my grandmother and the joyful moments we shared while venturing to collect freshwater mussels in the waters near the McClure River. The stories and lessons my family taught me about gathering bushfood from the lush surroundings fill my heart with nostalgia. These experiences, filled with laughter and a connection to nature, are among my most treasured memories from my childhood.
