Kassandra Savage (Beautiful Korrakorr)

My husband told me that I had a connection with the Korrakorr because I see it everywhere. I have depictions of them in my art, showing a strong connection. Then, one day, not long after that, my aunt told me that the Brolga was her grandmother’s totem (my great-grandmother). I remember feeling so excited and elated about this news. For me, this was confirmation of why I felt so drawn to and connected to these beautiful birds. And finally, earlier this year, I learned the Kurtijan name for the Brolga, Korrakorr, which inspired my title, “Beautiful Korrakorr ".
