Korrakorr is the Kurtijar term for a Brolga. While working with monoprints, I often draw inspiration from various techniques and materials. My experiments with graphic techniques have enabled me to express my ideas in a distinctive and personal manner. Korrakorr are indeed majestic birds. When I depict them on paper, I establish a profound spiritual connection with my great-grandmother from my maternal grandfather's lineage. This connection evokes a sense of women's resilience and joy amidst life’s adversities. It has fostered a sense of gratitude and acceptance alongside a connection to my heritage and community, namely the Waanyi and Kurtijar peoples.
