Sounds of AustraNesia celebrates the unique diversity of multi-cultural Cairns, Tropical Far North Queensland, Australia. It is a gathering of some of the region’s finest Indigenous musical artists primarily of Australian Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, Polynesian and Melanesian descent.
The jewel in the crown of this unique outfit is the blend of raw power and soulful voices of the dynamic AustraNesia choir, led by Kimiia, laced with intricate harmonies and embedded in tasteful instrumentation by Kepa.
Broad in genre yet individual in story and delivery, all songs steeped in language and traditional instrumentation unique to that artist, brings heritage to remembrance and educates our listeners about our respective origins and this place we call
