"Bailor Shell" honours our connection to sea Country, where bailer shells carry both purpose and cultural meaning. For Kokoberrin people, these shells are gathered with care and transformed into adornment, ceremony, and memory, holding the stories of our homelands, our old people, and the knowledge passed down through generations.
The blue mussel shells, grey seagrass, and ochre-red background reflect the movement of the tidal current and the living rhythm of the shoreline. Through soft flowing shapes and gentle transitions, the artwork honours the calm strength of Country and the deep relationship between our people, the sea, and the resources it provides.
