These pieces were created with the local beaches in mind. I remember digging up sand to unearth chulkai shells (pipi shells) and scouring the wave line for the perfect pair of shells to make earrings. I also remember finding sand dollars and seeing who could find the biggest and the smallest ones. These pieces take me back to those times with my family.
